The LORD has done great things for us, and we rejoiced. Psalm 126:3
This 3rd Sunday of Advent is traditionally JOY Sunday. Even in difficult times we are called to find joy in what God HAD DONE, what God IS DOING, and what God promises TO DO in days to come!
Here are a few announcements for this week:
Join us Sunday morning at 10am (or anytime) for worship on Facebook Live. I apologize for the sound the last few weeks. I am hopeful that I have resolved the issue and it should be much better. Here is the direct link that should take you to all of our live videos. https://www.facebook.com/107496705953838/live/
I have also added a "Live" tab on the Facebook page. You should find it under the "More" tab and again it should take you directly to all live streams and videos. Let me know.
Advent Candle Lighting, beginning this Sunday, December 13, at 6:30pm I will have a brief candle lighting devotion on Zoom with anyone who wants to take part. Send me an email and I will send you the Zoom link. I encourage you to have your own candles and Advent wreath to light along with me.
Christmas Eve Worship will be at 7pm on December 24, Live Stream ONLY. We will share a virtual communion, a brief Christmas reflection and celebrate the lighting of the Christ candle. You will need to have your own bread and drink for communion and I encourage you to have a candle to light.
Offering Envelopes for 2021 are now available. If you had them in 2020 they are here and ready for pickup. Contact me to arrange a time. If you would like envelopes let me know and we will get you set up. Our envelopes are ready to slip in a check and put on a stamp and mail making them very convenient.
End of Year Giving. 2020 has been a challenge financially for the church. In hopes of finishing the year without a deficit I hope you will consider making an end of the year gift to the church. Again, you can mail a check, have your bank mail a check, or use our Paypal button on our webpage or Facebook page. Thank you!
New Directories! Yes, by popular demand the Church Directory has been updated for 2021 and they are available at the church. Again contact me and arrange for a time to pick one up.
If you haven't already, drop off some snacks for the healthcare workers at Fisher Titus Medical Center. Please make them store bought and individually wrapped. Include a card and leave them at the front desk.
Lastly, if you would like to be a Worship Sponsor for any week in 2021, let me know. Suggested donation is $5 and it goes to our Mission Fund.
Blessings to All!
Peace,
Pastor Wayne
